West Mifflin defeated Trinity, 43-28, in a Big Nine Conference game Friday night behind running back Jimmy Wheeler’s three first-half touchdowns.

Wheeler finished the game with 24 carries for 220 yards and four touchdowns, as the Titans (7-0, 8-0) secured a home playoff game. The Hillers (1-6, 1-7), who were led by Dayzune Hall’s 157 yards, trailed 30-7 at halftime and struggled to stop the run on the road.

West Mifflin quarterbackKarlyn Garner completed 7-of-9 passes 142 and a touchdown. Trinity outscored the Titans 21-13 in the second half behind a stellar performance by running back Forrest Cullings, but the Hillers could not overcome the first-half woes.
