The Washington Wild Things released their 2014 schedule Tuesday and it includes a season opener Thursday, May 15 at Florence and the home opener Tuesday, May 20 against the Frontier League Greys.

There are no home games on holidays. Washington is off Memorial Day and Labor Day, and at Florence July 4.

The regular season ends Sept. 4 at home against Evansville.

The big change in the schedule is there are six scheduled home doubleheaders and one doubleheader on the road. The home doubleheaders are June 11 against Schaumburg, July 2 against Southern Illinois, July 9 against Lake Erie, Aug. 3 against the Frontier League Greys, Aug. 10 against Traverse City and Aug. 20 against River City.

Washington will play a doubleheader at Evansville July 28.

There is a home game June 24 against Traverse City that will start at 10:35 a.m.

The 96-game schedule includes 45 home dates.
