Michael Allen drove in three runs as the Frontier League Greys overcame an early three-run deficit to defeat the Wild Things, 9-5, Tuesday night in the opening game of the final series of the Frontier League season.

Washington took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a bases-loaded double by Mark Samuelson, and led 5-2 in the fifth after run-scoring hits by C.J. Beatty and Stewart Ijames.

The Greys, the league’s travel team, began their comeback with two runs in the sixth, then took control with a five-run seventh.

Steve Messner (0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief of Tyler Elrod, who took a no-hitter into the fifth but gave up four runs in six innings.
