Softball: Vulcans improve to 18-0 in PSAC West

California stayed perfect in the PSAC, sweeping a pair of games from host Edinboro, 16-1 and 10-3, Saturday afternoon.

Winning pitcher Alex Sagl recorded nine strikeouts in six innings in the opener. Natalya Smarra had three of California’s 18 hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs.

Lindsay Reicoff had four hits, including a homer and double, drove in three runs and scored four times in the second game for the Vulcans (18-0, 25-4).

Sagl threw 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to get the victory and improve her record to 16-2.

Haley Struebing homered for Edinboro (9-11, 14-18).
