1. Left tackle Jon Kolb and right guard Gerry Mullins started all four Super Bowls.
2. Jeff Hostetler, who lettered at quarterback for Penn State in 1980, guided the New York Giants to the Super Bowl title over the Buffalo Bills following the 1990 regular season. Hostetler transferred from Penn State to West Virginia after the 1980 season and played two seasons for the Mountaineers.
3. Jefferson-Morgan shut out Midland of Beaver County, 20-0, in the 1974 WPIAL Class B championship game played at Bethel Park High School. Kevin martin and Jon Culp returned interceptions for touchdowns and the Rockets’ defense held Midland to minus-24 rushing yards. It was J-M’s second consecutive WPIAL title.
