Peters Township used six pins for a 60-15 win over Baldwin in a Section 2-B dual meet in Class AAA Wednesday night.

Getting pins for the Indians (1-0) were Daniel Florentino (106), Phil Mary (132), Sal Merante (160), Mitchell Fitzgerald (170), Michael McAleavey (182) and Alex Belack (195).

Jake Hurley (126) and Luke Mary (145) won by decision, while Adam Craine (220) and Jacob Reardon (Hvy) won by forfeit.

Baldwin (0-1) started with a pin by Cameron Allgeier (113) and a tech fall by Nicholas Banko (120) before the Indians won 11 of the next 12 bouts.

Avella 37, Washington 18: Avella won the final four weight classes and defeated host Washington 37-18 in Class AA Section 1-A.

The match was tied 18-18 entering 138 pounds, from where the Eagles strung decision a major decision, decision and two falls. Sean Meredith (145) assured Avella of the victory with a fall and Nick Kusich followed with a pin at 152.

Derek Allen (220) also won by fall for Avella.

Jordan Dempster (125) and heavyweight Jared Graham had pins for Washington.

Burgettstown 53, Beaver 15: Winning 10 bouts by forfeit, Burgettstown only needed one victory by Brad Hucik (195) to defeat Beaver, 53-15, in a Section 1-B dual meet in Class AA.

The Blue Devils (1-0) only needed one win by decision, which came by Hucik, to take the first section meet after Beaver forfeited 10 bouts.

Max Strewe (138) and Sam Calorico (145) got pins for Beaver (0-1), and Christian Hyre (132) won by a 6-4 decision.
