Point guard Khalil Jabbie scored 16 points and California University’s men’s basketball team rallied over the final five minutes to defeat Shippensburg 62-60 Tuesday night in a PSAC West Division game at the Convocation Center.

California (3-2, 7-3) trailed 29-28 at halftime and fell behind 58-50 with 5:28 remaining in the game. But the Vulcans went on an 11-2 run that netted a 61-59 lead following two free throws by Jabbie with 1:16 to play.

Shippensburg (1-3, 5-3) could get no closer than one point the rest of the way. The Raiders missed a desperation three-pointer at the buzzer.

Abe Massaley led Shippensburg with 13 points and Justin McCarthur had 12.
