Dukes fall to Red Flash

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Earl Brown scored 16 points, Ben Millaud-Meunier added 14 as St. Francis (Pa.) walloped Duquesne on the glass en route to a 67-52 win Wednesday night.

The Red Flash (5-4) held Duquesne to just six offensive rebounds and 18 field goals in the suffocating win. St. Francis outrebounded the Dukes (3-5) 45-29 with Ronnie Drinnon hauling down 15 and Greg Brown eight.

Toledo 83, Robert Morris 57: Julius Brown had 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead Toledo to an 83-57 win over Robert Morris on Wednesday night.

J.D. Weatherspoon added 18 points and 14 rebounds and Nathan Boothe chipped in eight rebounds and seven assists for Toledo (6-4).

Brown converted 10 of 12 shots and connected on 7 of 8 from 3-point range.

Marcquise Reed scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting and David Appolon had 12 points and five rebounds for Robert Morris (3-7). The Colonists shot a mere 16.7 percent from 3-point range.

Boothe hit two jumpers at the end of the first half to give Toledo a 12-point advantage at the midway mark. Weatherspoon’s dunk capped a 15-3 run to begin the second half to put the Rockets up 24. Toledo held the lead above 19 the rest of the game.
