Boys basketball roundup: Koroly’s 21 points lift Trinity to win

Freshman guard Joey Koroly made three three-point field goals and finished with a game-high 21 points to lift Trinity over Frazier, 65-48, in a non-section game.
Two players recorded a double-double for the Hillers (3-5): Ben Phillis had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Beau Baldwin finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Trinity led by nine points at halftime and sealed the win with a 20-point fourth quarter.
Alvin Ross scored 10 points for Frazier (3-3).
Jefferson-Morgan 90, Avella 42: Rece Henneman had 35 points and Jefferson-Morgan jumped out to a 33-7 lead en route to a 90-43 Section 3-A win over Avella.
Dennis Gilbert scored 14 for the Rockets (1-2, 5-2).
Cody Dobbin led Avella (1-3, 1-6) with 15 points.
Hundred 60, Mapletown 41: Seniors Ben Boone and Jake Lawson both reached double digits in scoring, but Mapletown fell, 60-41, in a non-section game at Hundred, W.Va.
Boone led the Maples (0-7) with 16 points and Lawson added 11. Mapletown could not overcome a slow start as it trailed 27-11 at halftime.
Brandon Armstrong scored 21 points for Hundred.
