Nick Moretti has 19 points to lead Trinity past Brownsville, 52-46, at the Trinity tournament.

Adam Raggi added 12 points for the Hillers (4-5), who trailed 31-30 at the half.

Noah Brown led Brownsville (6-3) with 28 points.

McGuffey 58, Geibel Catholic 17: Zach Maxwell had 22 points and 10 rebounds as McGuffey earned a spot in the championship game of the Avella tournament with a 58-17 win over Geibel Catholic.

Damian McCloskey added 10 points for the Highlanders (5-3), who face Cornell at 8 p.m. today in the final.

James Ewing had eight points for Geibel (5-4).

Burgettstown 64, Avella 40: Burgettstown jumped out to a 21-6 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 64-40 victory over the host Eagles at the Avella tournament.

Hunter Lecker had 18 points and Dylan Dhans added 17 for the Blue Devils (4-5), who face Carlynton at 4 p.m. today in the final day of the tournament.

Cody Dobbin led Avella, which plays Fort Cherry at 2 p.m., (1-8) with 14 points.

Sewickley Academy 75, Chartiers-Houston 60: Drew Johnson scored 14 of his 23 points in the third quarter to lift Sewickley over Chartiers-Houston, 75-60, at the Bentworth Christmas Tournament.

The Panthers (7-0) will face South Allegheny in the championship today at 6 p.m., while the Bucs (4-5) will play Bentworth in the consolation game at 4 p.m.

Sewickley led 37-32 at halftime before Johnson scored 14 of Sewickley’s 23 points in the quarter. Declan Hickton scored 13 points for Hershey, while Justin Pryor added 11 and Chris Groetsch chipped in 10.

Alec Ferrari had 23 points and AJ Myers had 20 for Chartiers-Houston.

Morgantown 72, Washington 45: Washington fell behind early and could not overcome balanced scoring effort by Morgantown as the Prexies fell, 72-45, at the EQT Classic in Bridgeport, W.Va.

The Mohigans (4-0) will face East Fairmont at 6:30 p.m. today, while Wash High (3-4) will play Propel Andrew Street at 3:30 p.m.

Morgantown led 40-24 at halftime before it outscored the Prexies, 24-7, in the third quarter. Zakeem Davis led the Mohigans with 16 points and BJ King added 13.

DeQuay Isbell scored 15 points for Wash High.

South Allegheny 57, Bentworth 51: South Allegheny had three double-digit scorers on its way to a 57-51 victory over Bentworth at the Bentworth Christmas Tournament.

The Gladiators (2-7) will face Sewickley Academy in the championship today at 6 p.m., and the Bearcats (3-5) play Chartiers-Houston in the consolation game at 4 p.m.

Johnny Perkins scored 21 points for South Allegheny. Jake Duvall added 14 and Dylan Papson chipped in 10.

Damon Petrola-Bakos finished with 26 points for Bentworth and Angelo Rios-Lopez scored 12.

Canon-McMillan 84, Blackhawk 47: Eleven players earned a spot in the scoring column and Canon-McMillan made 12 three-point shots as the Big Macs cruised to a 84-47 win over Blackhawk at the Trinity Tournament.

The Big Macs (4-4) will face Trinity in the championship game tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Britton Beachy led Canon-Mac with 20 points. Alex Hammers added 11 and Sam Bohn 10 for the Big Macs, who led by 19 points at halftime. C-M made 8 of 11 free throws to secure the victory.

The Cougars (1-7) were led by Chance Siaus’ 19 points.

Frazier 54, West Greene 45: Alvin Ross scored a game-high 19 points as Frazier held off a West Greene rally to secure a 54-45 non-section win.

Ross made two three-point shots and Caleb Cox also reached double figures with 10 points. The Commodores (5-4) led by 15 at the end of the third quarter, but were outscored, 21-15, in the final eight minutes.

The Pioneers (2-7) were led by Kolten Rush, who had 18 points, and Craig Weaver added 14.

Charleroi 68, California 61: California led by one point at the end of the third quarter, but Charleroi mounted a comeback and held on for a 68-61 victory at the Charleroi Tournament.

The Cougars (5-4) will face Ringgold today at 6 p.m. Kass Taylor scored a game-high 26 points for the Trojans (7-3) and Tray Matthews added 16 points. The Trojans trailed until a third-quarter surge, but the Cougars sank free throws down the stretch. Charleroi made 23 of 27 shots from the line and was led by Brock Shannon, who scored 20 points, and Sam Miceli added 18.

Monessen 81, Thomas Jefferson 73: Four Monessen players reached double figures as the Greyhounds defeated Thomas Jefferson, 81-73, at the North Allegheny Tournament.

Monessen (5-3) will face North Allegheny tonight at 7:30 p.m., and Lavalle Rush led Monessen’s offense Monday night with 26 points. Justice Rice added 15, Jaden Altomore 12 and Noah Yartin had 10 for the Greyhounds, who extended their winning streak to five games.

Monessen trailed by one point at halftime, but took the lead following the third before outscoring the Jaguars, 21-14, in the fourth quarter.

Thomas Jefferson (2-8) was led by CJ Mason and Frank Langin, who both had 18 points.
