MELBOURNE – Alison Riske’s run at the Australian Open ended Monday.

Riske, a Peters Township native, and her women’s doubles partner Madison Keys were eliminated in the third round by the Czech Republic’s Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Safarova, 6-4, 6-3. Hlavackova and Safarova are the seventh-seeded team. Riske and the 19-year-old Keys were unseeded.

Riske advanced to the third round in singles competition last week before being eliminated by No. 9 seed Angelique Kerber of Germany. It was the third consecutive Grand Slam tournament in which Riske has advanced to at least the third round.
