Burgettstown boys drop shootout at Serra

Defense took the night off in a non-section game between Burgettstown and host Serra Catholic.

Tyler Grebur scored 34 points, Max Kaminsky had 21 and Joe Satira tossed in 20 Wednesday as hot-shooting Serra defeated the Blue Devils, 86-74.

Serra (6-9) scored 51 first-half points and it was the Eagles’ 29-point second quarter that proved to be the difference. Serra outscored Burgettstown by 13 points (29-16) in the quarter and won the game by 12.

Dylan Dhans scored 18 points to pace Burgettstown (4-13), which has scored at least 74 points in each of its last three games. Tylar Linke scored 15 points for the Blue Devils and Cole LaRocka had 14. The teams combined for 15 three-point field goals.
