FLORENCE, Ky. – Scott Kalamar hit his second homer of the season, both in the last four games, and scored three runs as Washington held off Florence, 6-4, Saturday night in a Frontier League game.

Zach Fuesser allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings to get the win for the Wild Things (28-16), who led 3-1 after a three-run third inning.

Washington then tacked on single runs in the sixth, seventh and ninth innings to pull ahead, 6-1, before Florence (19-23) scored three times in the bottom of the ninth off of Jonathan Kountis. Kountis, however, worked out of the jam to preserve the win for Washington, which had just six hits in the game, two by Kalamar.
