Rebellion loses 8th straight game

AKRON, Ohio – Akron jumped on Pennsylvania starter Angel Bunner for seven runs in the first three innings and cruised to an 18-2 victory over the visiting Rebellion Saturday night in a National Pro Fastpitch game.

Jill Barrett, Ashley Thomas and Haley Outon all homered for Akron (6-5), with Outon driving in five runs in the game and Barrett and Nerissa Myers three each.

Hannah Campbell scattered six hits for the Racers to earn the win.

Mandy Ogle homered for the Rebellion (2-9), who have now lost eight in a row after opening the season 2-1. Brittney Lindley had two hits for Pennsylvania, which had four errors, while Bunner took the loss.
