AKRON, OH – Akron Racers third baseman Kelley Montalvo gave her team a one-run lead in the fifth inning and knocked in the game-winning run on a walk-off single to lead Akron past the Pennsylvania Rebellion, 6-5, Monday night.

The Rebellion (4-13) took a 4-0 lead on a three-run homer by Bianca Mejia and a solo homer by Courtney Liddle in the third inning. Akron scored two in the third and two in the fourth before Montalvo gave the Racers a one-run lead in the fifth inning on a RBI double.

Mejia hit her second home run in the sixth, a solo shot, to tie the game and Montalvo hit a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game for Akron (9-10).
