Wild Things re-sign 3, add infielder

The Wild Things have re-signed three right-handed pitchers from last season, Tyler Elrod, Dan Goldstein and Andy Smithmyer. All three made their professional debuts last summer. Each signed with Washingtyon after going undrafted last spring.
Elrod had a 2-0 record and one shutout in five games (three starts), Smithmyer was 0-1 in 13 games and Goldstein was 1-2 in eight games including four starts.
Washington also signed shortstop Nico Slater from Jupiter, Fla. Slater has no professional experience.
