California swept a PSAC West Division doubleheader Monday from visiting Seton Hill, 8-0 and 4-2.

With the sweep, the Vulcans improve to 9-4 overall and 2-0 in division play. The games were the first for Cal since March 16. Seton Hill is 3-3, 13-5.

Cal earned a run-rule victory in the opener on the strength of home runs by Shelby Heyd, Megan Jahoda and Lindsay Reicoff. Heyd and Reicoff each drove in three runs and winning pitcher Alex Sagl tossed a five-hit shutout.

Erica Vallecorsa drove in two runs and Cal scored the game’s first four runs to win the nightcap. Winning pitcher Kaity Davis gave up six hits over seven innings.

• Thiel swept visiting Waynesburg, 2-1 and 12-8, in a PAC doubleheader.

Thiel (2-0, 9-5) won the opener with a two-run, walkoff two-run triple.

Waynesburg (0-2, 3-11) led 4-0 in the second game, getting a three-run homer by senior outfielder Jasmine Blackwell.
