The Wild Things released their 96-game schedule for the 2015 season Friday and it includes 51 games at Consol Energy Park, a six-game homestand to open the season, a July 4 home game and a change in starting times for Sunday home games.
Washington will open its season Friday, May 15 against the two-time defending Frontier League champion Schaumburg Boomers. That three-game series will be followed by a home series May 19-21 against Evansville. The Wild Things will then embark on their longest road trip of the season, a nine-game in 10 days trip to Normal, River City and Gateway May 22-31.
The Wild Things will play on only one holiday, hosting the Joliet Slammers July 4. Washington will play two home doubleheaders, June 3 against Rockford and July 29 against River City. Those games will begin at 6:05 p.m.
The Wild Things’ June 17 home game against Southern Illinois will begin at 10:35 a.m., and all Sunday home games will start at 2:35 p.m.
All 14 Frontier League teams will be returning for 2015. Washington will play in the East Division along with Lake Erie, Florence, Evansville, Southern Illinois, Traverse City and the Frontier Greys.
