Boys soccer: Peters Township blanks McGuffey

Logan Brinsky scored two goals and Peters Township pulled away in the second half to defeat visiting McGuffey 4-0 Thursday night in a non-section match.
PT (13-2) led 1-0 at halftime. In addition to Brinsky’s two tallies, the Indians received goals from Nicco Mastrangelo and Jake Valley. Jonathan Sion and Andrew Parker were credited with assists. Josh Deyarmin was the goalkeeper for PT.
McGuffey’s record is 8-8.
• Matt Hlasnick had three goals as Chartiers-Houston defeated Washington, 4-0, in a non-section match.
Goalkeeper Tommy Dzadovsky had the shutout for the Bucs (2-15-1).
Washington finished its season at 0-15.
• Drew Grandas scored three times to lead Waynesburg to a 5-1 Section 6-AA win over Brownsville.
Mitch Warmen and John Walters also scored for the Raiders (3-7-1, 5-11-1).
Matthew Watson had the lone goal for Brownsville (1-10, 1-13).
• Bentworth wrapped up third place in Section 4-A and a playoff spot with 2-1 victory over Beth-Center.
Kyle Porter had the lone goal for Beth-Center (6-5-1, 8-7-1).
No goal scorers were provided for Bentworth (8-4, 10-7-1).
• Christian Snatchko recorded his ninth shutout of the season as Canon-McMillan defeated Norwin, 1-0, in a non-section match.
Nick Sodini scored the lone goal for the Big Macs (11-5-1). Norwin falls to 12-3-1.
