PITTSBURGH – Ronello Snyder’s 31-yard touchdown run with 33 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter Friday night lifted Northgate to a wild 36-34 Black Hills Conference victory over Fort Cherry.

Snyder’s touchdown run came just over one minute after Garrett Welling had put the Rangers (2-4, 3-5) back on top, 34-30 in a game in which the lead changed hands three times in the fourth quarter.

Northgate (2-4, 4-4) took an early 12-0 lead on a Snyder TD run and a 67-yard pass from Johnny Camello, who completed 8 of 13 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns while also running for a score.

But Fort Cherry scored 27 points in the second quarter, getting two touchdowns each from Welling and Nick Cook, who had 181 yards on 23 carries, to take a 27-18 lead at the half.

Camello and Snyder had TD runs in the third and fourth quarters to put Northgate, which missed on all of its point after attempts, to take a 30-27 lead before Welling’s final score put the Rangers ahead for the final time.
