BALDWIN – The Altavilla brothers – Nick and Doug – hooked up for the game-winning play Friday night in Baldwin’s 28-21 victory over Canon-McMillan in a Class AAAA Southeastern Conference game.

With Baldwin (2-4, 3-5) holding a 21-14 lead, Nick Altavilla caught a 37-yard pass from quarterback Doug Altavilla with 12 seconds remaining gin the third quarter. Doug Altavilla completed 18 of 23 passes for 287 yards and 3 TDs, and also rushed for another.

Canon-McMillan (0-7, 0-8) scored when quarterback Don Eannace threw a 32-yard pass to Jordan Smith with 2:56 to play but couldn’t get the tying score.

Bryan Milligan rushed for 116 yards on 15 carries and scored on a 7-yard run to make it 21-14. Brennan Handyside also scored on a 5-yard run in the second quarter.
