Frazier pulls away from Cal in second half

CALIFORNIA – Frazier broke open a close game with a pair of second-half touchdowns and defeated host California 34-12 in the Tri-County South Friday night.
Frazier (7-1, 8-1) scored 20 first-quarter points before California (1-7, 1-8) scored twice in the final five minutes of the first half to pull to within 20-12. But L.A. Ross scored on a one-yard run in the third quarter and sealed the win for the Commodores with a 91-yard TD pass to Ethan Weaver early in the third quarter.
Ross had scoring runs of 39 and 29 yards in the first quarter and finished with 103 yards on 15 carries.
Cameron Stish picked up a fumble and returned it one yard for California’s first score, and quarterback Casey Zajicek added a one-yard TD run with 43 secons left in the first half. Zajicek had 67 yards on 18 carries.
