Kemp, TJ too much for Trinity

Austin Kemp scored five first-half touchdowns – one on an interception return – and undefeated Thomas Jefferson cruised to a 42-7 victory Friday over Trinity in a Big Nine Conference game at Hiller Field.

Kemp scored on runs of 13, 2, 15 and 65 yards, and also returned an interception 26 yards for a score in the first quarter. Kemp also scored on a two-point conversion run that gave TJ (5-0, 5-0) a 35-0 lead. For the game, Kemp rushed for 182 yards.

Trinity avoided a shutout when Dajur Hall scampered nine yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Hillers (1-4, 1-4) were held to 65 total yards.
