Boys soccer: Big second half wins for Canon-Mac

Canon-McMillan broke open a scoreless game with three second-half goals Monday night as the Big Macs defeated visiting Belle Vernon 3-0 in a non-section game.

Luke Maher scored two goals and Ian Brumbaugh added one as the Big Macs improved their record to 8-4-1. Christian Snatchko was the goalkeeper for C-M. All eight of the Big Macs’ wins have been shutouts.

Belle Vernon’s record is 6-4-2

• John Berdar, Kyle Border and Dakota Phillips each scored a goal in the first half as Beth-Center forged an early lead then cruised to a 6-3 victory over visiting Albert Gallatin in a non-section match.

Berdar finished with three goals and Border scored a second goal after halftime as the Bulldogs inched closer to the .500 mark, improving their record to 5-6-1. AG fell to 1-12.
