Chartiers Valley slips past Trinity

Steven Alauzen hit a go-ahead RBI triple in the sixth inning Wednesday and Chartiers Valley held on for a 3-2 win over Trinity in a Section 3-AAA game at Consol Energy Park.

The Colts (5-1, 9-3) tied the score, 2-2, before Alauzen drove in the eventual game-winning run to back Cole Horew, who struck out four. The Hillers (1-5, 2-10) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning after Dom Neff hit an RBI single. Zach Cain had a triple for Trinity.
