Washington four players score in double figures to edge South Fayette in overtime, 55-53, in a non-section game between two playoff-bound teams.
Nate Swart led the Prexies with 14 points, Markel Pulliam added 12, Matt Popeck 10 and Jonathan Spina chipped in 11. Wash High (14-6), which has won 10 consecutive games, took a 48-46 lead with under 30 seconds remaining in regulation before South Fayette’s Nick McKee tied the game the score with 17 seconds remaining to force overtime. The Prexies otuscored the Lions, 7-5, in the overtime and Jack Relihan, who scored a game-high 20 points, shot a three-pointer at the buzzer that went off the front of the rim to end the game.
The two teams were tied 25-25 at halftime, but the Lions took a three-point lead at the end of the third quarter.
McKee added 13 points for South Fayette (16-3).
Jefferson-Morgan 72, Geibel Catholic 44: Jefferson-Morgan jumped out to a 20-point lead and held on to defeat Geibel, 72-44, in a Section 3-A game.
The victory lifts the Rockets (6-5, 11-9) into third place, while Geibel (6-6, 9-10), which has lost three of its last four games, dropped to fourth in the section.
Rece Henneman paced Jefferson-Morgan with 23 points and Austin Clark added 22, including six three-pointers. The Rockets led 29-9 after the first quarter and 50-20 at halftime.
Bailey Miller and James Ewing had 13 points for the Gators.
Beth-Center 37, Carmichaels 28: Ryan Beyer scored eight points as Beth-Center shut down Carmichaels, 37-28, in a Section 4-AA game.
Beth-Center (3-8, 10-10) led 29-26 entering the fourth quarter, but finished the game on an 8-2 run.
Liam Shea scored eight points for Carmichaels (1-10, 5-16).
Trinity 62, Washington 18: Mary Dunn and Sierra Kotchman combined for 29 points as Trinity defeated Washington, 62-18, in a non-section game.
Dunn scored a game-high 16 points and Kotchman chipped in 13 for the Hillers (15-5), who led 38-6 at halftime after shutting out the Prexies in the second quarter.
Da’Shea Sweeney led Wash High (12-9) with 12 points.
