Administration seeks new athletic director

NEW EAGLE – The Ringgold School District is seeking a new athletic director.
Ringgold School Board Wednesday authorized the administration to advertise the district will seek applications for the position held for the past five years by Ron McMichael.
“The contract was up. We just decided to open the position,” Ringgold Superintendent Karen Polkabla said following a school board meeting Wednesday in the district administration building in New Eagle.
The board was met with opposition from parents and school athletes when it opened the position a year ago. Directors later decided to extend McMichael’s contract for a year.
