Big 4th quarter propels South Fayette past PT

Carlee Kilgus and Emily Anderson combined for 36 points to lead South Fayette to a 56-53 come-from-behind victory over visiting Peters Township in a non-section high school girls basketball game Saturday.
Peters Township (7-5) led 25-17 at halftime, but South Fayette pulled to within 41-39 after three quarters and then outscored the Indians 22-16 in the fourth quarter.
Kilgus led South Fayette (8-4) with 20 points and Anderson tossed in 16.
Madison Kerr paced PT with 19 points and Emily Konwik contributed 16.
California 48, Eden Christian 20: Kylie Huffman’s 15 points led California to a 48-20 non-section win over Eden Christian.
Lindsey Huhn addd 14 points and Brooke Clements had 10 for the Trojans (13-1), who led 40-14 after three quarters.
Abbie Bazzoli led Eden Christian (2-11) with eight points.
Boys
Geibel 66, Avella 42: James Ewing scored a game-high 27 points to power Geibel past Avella, 66-42, in a Section 3-A game.
Kyle Toth chipped in with 14 points for the Gators (3-2, 6-5), who led 36-21 at halftime.
Cody Dobbin led Avella (1-4, 1-12) with 13 points.
Waynesburg 69, Jefferson-Morgan 39: Dom Sarra had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists as Waynesburg overcame a slow start to beat Jefferson-Morgan, 69-39, in a non-section game.
Cole Garber scored 13 points off the bench and Jason Veleny and Mitch Warmen had 12 points each, with Warmen also grabbing 10 rebounds, for the Raiders (8-4).
Dylan Davis had 12 points for Jefferson-Morgan (7-4), while leading scorer Rece Henneman was limited to four points, 22 below his season average.
