EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Will Oliver pitched his second consecutive complete game shutout by stifling the Washington Wild Things, 1-0, in a Frontier League game Sunday.

Oliver struck out nine, walked one and allowed just five hits in moving his record to 8-2. He defeated hard-luck loser Ernesto Zaragoza (5-5), who allowed one unearned run in five innings, struck out eight and gave up three hits.

Evansville scored the only run of the game without the benefit of a hit in the fifth inning. John Schultz drew a one-out walk and moved to second when Josh Allen walked. Chris Sweeney struck out, but Dane Phillips loaded the bases when he got on because of an error by second baseman Matt Ford. Nik Balog walked and that allowed Schultz to score.
