Morgan’s HR sends Dallas past Rebellion
Nicole Morgan dealt her former team a decisive blow and relief pitcher Sarah Purvis got out of two bases-loaded jams, including one in the top of the seventh inning, as the Dallas Charge hung on for a 3-0 victory over the Pennsylvania Rebellion Friday night.
Morgan blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Charge a three-run cushion in this National Pro Fastpitch game.
The Charge, won two straight games for the first time in the team’s history.
Purvis got out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam in the fifth inning by getting Courtney Senas to pop out to first base. Purvis did the same in the seventh, getting a force out at home for the second out of the inning before inducing Alisa Goler to fly out to end the game.
The Rebellion left 10 runners on base and went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
