Indiana rallies to defeat South Fayette

PLUM – WPIAL champion Indiana trailed South Fayette by eight points entering the fourth quarter, but closed the game on an 18-6 run to defeat the Lions, 42-38, in the opening round of the PIAA Class AAA boys basketball playoffs at Plum High School.

Indiana (25-2) jumped out to an 11-6 lead after one quarter, only to see South Fayette, which finishes its season at 19-7, close to within 16-15 at the half.

South Fayette then went on a 17-8 run in the third quarter to take a 32-24 lead.

Dylan Stapleton scored 12 points to lead Indiana.

South Fayette was led by Jack Relihan’s 16 points.
