Softball: Dittrich, Chartiers-Houston blank South Fayette

Kaitlyn Dittrich pitched a complete game shutout Friday and held South Fayette, a Class AAA opponent, to just four hits as Chartiers-Houston defeated the Lions, 2-0, in a non-section game.

Kayla Alderson hit an RBI triple in the third inning to give the Bucs (15-2) a 1-0 lead and Kassie Kesneck drove in a run in the sixth on a double. Ashley Iagnemma struck out nine for South Fayette (10-7).

Linda Hall struck out nine, hit two doubles and drove in a run to lead Cameron (W.Va.) over West Greene, 10-1, in a non-section game.

Kelsie Meintel went 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Dragons (15-4), who led 5-1 before scoring five runs in the top of the seventh. Bailey Bennington struck out six for the Pioneers (10-6).
