California ends losing streak, beats West Greene
CALIFORNIA – Sophomore running back Jonathon Wood’s two touchdown performance halted a four-game losing streak for California as it defeated West Greene 55-0 in Tri-County South action.
Wood had 22 carries resulting in 139 yards and TD runs of 11 and 8 yards for the Trojans (2-4, 2-5). Sophomore receiver Collin Philips found the end zone on each of his three catches in the blowout victory. Philips finished with two 18-yard TDs and an 11-yard TD, all coming before halftime.
West Greene (0-6, 0-7) has been outscored 148-6 in its last three games.
