South Fayette runs winning streak to 39
MCDONALD – Undefeated South Fayette just keeps on rolling.
The Lions erupted for 35 points in the first quarter and cruised to a 54-8 thumping of Sto-Rox Friday night in the Century Conference.
The victory was the 39th in a row for South Fayette (7-0, 7-0).
Drew Saxton threw touchdown passes of 15 yards to Ryhan Culberson and 7 yards to Mikey Speca in the first quarter, and Hunter Hayes scores on runs of one and 72 yards in the opening 12 minutes.
Saxton was 6 of 6 passing for 77 yards, and Hayes finished with 100 rushing yards on 10 carries.
Geovanie Love had a 7-yard TD run and returned an interception 62 yards for a score.
Sto-Rox (1-5, 1-6) spoiled the Lions’ shutout bid with a two-yard TD run early int he fourth quarter.
