Rachel Rohanna earned her LPGA tour card for next season in Sunday’s final Symetra Tour event.

Rohanna, a Waynesburg High School graduate, shot a final-round one-over par 73 to finish at 5-under par and tied for 24th in the Tour Championship at Daytona Beach, Fla. She earned $1,553 to raise her season total to $53,867, $284 more than No. 11 Haruka Morita-WanyaoLu.

“I’m really happy with how I played this year but I know there’s a lot that I have to work on for next year,” Rohanna said in a tournament release. “I’m just looking forward to competing at the highest level.”

Brianna Do, who began the tournament 12th on the money list, finished second in the tournament after shooting a final-round 3-under-par 69.

Her payday of more than $13,000 pushed her into third on the money list.

The top 10 golfers on the Symetra Tour receive their LPGA cards for the upcoming season.

Rohanna captured the first victory of her career at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay to ignite her run towards her LPGA tour card. She added five additional top-10 finishes, including a third at the Symetra Classic and a T4 at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge.

Kuchar wins Fuji International: American Matt Kuchar shot his second straight 3-under 69 for a four-stroke victory Sunday in the Fiji International.

The seven-time PGA Tour winner finished at 4-under 284 at Natadolo Bay in the event sanctioned by the OneAsia and Australasian tours. His father, Peter, served as his caddie.

Coming off the United States’ Presidents Cup victory last week in South Korea, Kuchar had five birdies and one bogey in the final round. He opened with rounds of 74 and 72 in high wind, and took a two-stroke lead into the final round.

“It was so challenging on Thursday and Friday,” Kuchar said. “I felt I was surviving but played some really steady, good golf and that was a real difference I got off to a start where most people got beat up. I was able to play it 2-over par for the first 36 and had a really steady, nice solid weekend.”

Australia’s Aron Price was second after a 71.

Wheatcroft off the mark: Washington native Steve Wheatcroft finished the Frys.com Open at 4-under par and was tied for 55th on the course in Napa, Calif., at press time. Kevin Na and Emiliano Grillo were in a playoff at press time.

Wheatcroft was 10 strokes off the pace.

Langer wins Champions event: Bernhard Langer rallied to win the San Antonio Championship for his second victory of the year and 25th overall on the Champions Tour.

The 58-year-old German star birdied the final two holes making an 18-footer on the par-4 18th for a 7-under 65 and a three-stroke victory over Scott Dunlap.

Langer won on TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Canyons Course after losing playoffs in the event to David Frost in 2012 and Kenny Perry in 2013. In June in Massachusetts, Langer successfully defended his Senior Players Championship title for his fifth senior major victory.
