Soccer roundup: Thomas’ goals keep C-M girls undefeated

Allison Thomas scored twice, the final time 20 minutes into the second half, to send Canon-McMillan past North Allegheny, 2-1, Monday night in a non-section match.

Thomas opened the scoring with a goal 25 minutes in for C-M (16-0-1) but Gabby Smychynsky tied it with a goal for North Allegheny (12-3-1) 18 minutes into the second half. Megan Virgin stopped nine of 10 shots for Canon-Mac.

Jeff Nedley scored twice to pace Trinity to a 4-0 win over Washington in a non-section match.

Austin Armstrong and Corey McMurdy each had a goal and assist for Trinity (10-5-2). Ben Junko recorded his 11th shutout.

• Goalkeeper Justin Gamble recorded his fifth shutout of the season when Peters Township blanked Ringgold 5-0 in a non-section match.

Logan Brinsky, Bryce Gabelhart, Luke Kelly, Chase Sirera and Jacob Dumas each had a goal for the Indians (11-4-2).

Ringgold fell to 13-4.
