Blackhawk edges Canon-McMillan in shootout

DARLINGTON – Austin Jevens scored on a kick return at the end of the first half, then scored on a 5-yard run with under five minutes remaining in the game as Blackhawk edged Canon-McMillan, 41-40, in a non-conference game Friday night.

Mike Savilisky had 21 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown for Blackhawk (1-8) in a back-and-forth game in which the lead changes hands four times.

Bryan Milligan had 31 carries for 215 yards and three touchdowns for the Big Macs (2-7), while Dom Eannace completed 13 of 25 passes for 225 yards and three scores. Jordan Smith had four receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns for Canon-McMillan.
