Youngblood leads Monessen over Mapletown
The score was tied 14-14 at halftime but Monessen (5-4) forged a 29-20 lead when Youngblood scored on a one-yard plunge with 19 second left in the third quarter.
Matt Hein, who opened the scoring with a 31-yard TD catch, pulled Mapletown (3-6) to within 29-28 with 7:21 left when he scored on a six-yard run and Dustin lemley threw a two-point conversion pass to Caleb Reynolds.
Youngblood scored on runs of five, four, three and three yards.
Mapletown’s Dylan Rush ran for touchdowns of 39 and 43 yards. He gained 207 yards on 25 carries. Mapletown led 14-0 early in the second quarter.
