Girls soccer: Charleroi nets 11, stays unbeaten in section

Charleroi stretched its unbeaten streak to four games with an 11-0 victory over host Beth-Center Monday afternoon in Section 2-A.

Kyra Watkins had four goals and Megan Stoner added two for the Cougars (3-0-1, 3-1-1).

Goalkeeper Sydney Toth recorded the shutout, stopping two shots.

The loss drops Beth-Center to 0-2 in the section and overall.

• Trinity rallied from down 2-0 at halftime to beat Brashear, 4-2, in a Section 3-AAA match.

Julia Chakos, Baylee Weaver, Caitlin Guthrie and Kacie Horr scored to rally the Hillers (1-3, 1-4).

Brashear falls to 0-3, 0-3.

• Bailey Fudala scored off a free kick with four minutes remaining to give Section 4-AA leader Waynesburg a 3-2 victory over Ringgold.

Waynesburg (3-0, 4-0) led 2-0 at halftime before Ringgold (2-1, 3-1) battled back and tied the score.

The Radiers received first-half goals from Madison Clayton and Sarah Snee.

• Miranda VanKirk and Bea Kossel had three goals each as Bentworth defeated Chartiers-Houston, 8-4, in a Section 2-A match.

Torri Cicci had a goal and assisted on five others for the Bearcats, who also got a goal out of Sarah Maniecki.

Erin James had three goals and Aly Ferrari had one for the Bucs.

• Smily Cottrill scored with just over one minute remaining in the first half as Peters Township edged Moon, 1-0, in a Section 4-AAA match.

Reilly McGluphy had three saves in goal for the Indians (4-0). Moon falls to 3-1.
