Softball: Renner’s two-hitter gives West Greene win

Madison Renner threw a 2-hitter with 12 strikeouts and also had four hits, including a home run, as West Greene defeated Mapletown, 11-1, in a Section 1-A high school girls softball game.

Shelby Morris also homered and doubled, while Lexi Mooney and Mackenzie Carpenter also doubled for West Greene (3-0, 8-1).

Abby McIntyre took the loss for Mapletown (0-2, 1-4).
