Morgan Vickless had a two-run single in a three-run fourth to help Bentworth defeat Waynesburg, 5-2, in a Section 2-AA game.

Aubree Yates and Savannah Adams each had a double for Bentworth (5-0, 8-1). Casey Hite struck out five.

Rachel Elsenheimer had a double for Waynesburg (3-3, 3-7).

• Canon-McMillan gave up five runs in the top of the first, scored nine in the bottom of the inning and hung on for a 12-8 win over South Park in a non-section game.

Linda Rush had a two-run home run and a double, and Brittney Crawford added a two-run blast for C-M (7-1). Kayla Hopkins added a double, single and three RBI. Katelyn Greaves had two hits and two RBI.

Katie Isenberg and Katlyn Pavlick each hit a home run for South Park (5-2).

• Maddi Bogden drove in four runs on two two-run singles to help send Mapletown to a 15-2 five-inning win over Avella in a section 2-A game.

Elisa Clark had two doubles and drove in two runs for the Maples (1-3, 2-6). Taylor Vanata had a double and single. Avella (0-5, 0-6) had four singles.

• Every player in the lineup either had a hit or scored a run in Elizabeth Forward’s 10-3 win over Ringgold in a Section 3-AAA game.

Winning pitcher Sarah Turek struck out six in six innings and doubled for EF (5-0, 8-1). Lauren Gohacki, Natalie Adams, Johnna Mocniak doubled for the Rams (2-3, 3-4).

• Laurel defeated Burgettstown, 9-3, in a non-section game. No further information was available to the Observer-Reporter.
