Rebellion split doubleheader with Charge
DALLAS – Dallas Escobedo threw a four-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Pennsylvania Rebellion to an NPF split of a doubleheader with the Dallas Charge Saturday.
The Rebellion won the opener, 3-2, while Dallas returned the favor, 3-2, in the nightcap.
The Rebellion (17-32), who clinched the top pick in next year’s NPF draft with their loss in the nightcap, scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit. Stacy Porter, Alisa Goler and Lexi Elkins all had RBI in the inning.
Kaylyn Castillo drove in both runs for Dallas (19-30) in the game.
In the nightcap, Lauren Haeger and Danielle Henderson homered for the Charge, who had just three hits in the game.
Miranda Kramer took the loss for the Rebellion, despite throwing a three hitter with two walks.
Porter had two hits, including a double, while Victoria Hayward also had a pair of hits in the losing effort.
The two teams will wrap up their seasons at 1 p.m. today with a final game in Dallas.
