Belle Vernon finishes second at WCCA Wrestling Tournament

Belle Vernon had three champions on its way to a second-place finish at the Westmoreland County Coaches’ Association Tournament.

Derek Verkleeren (152), Mitchell Hartman (160) and Matt McGillick (170) won titles for the Leopards, who finished second behind Kiski Area, which did not have a first-place finisher. Jacob Dunlop (106) and Jarod Verkleeren (145) were runners up.

Tyler Seliga (126), Zachary Hartman (132) and Michael Fine (220) took third for BV, which wrestled without Austin Bell, a Pitt recruit.
