ORLAND0, Fla – Kesley Nunley threw a complete game two-hit shutout as the USSSA Pride defeated the Pennsylvania Rebellion, 8-0, Wednesday night.

It took until the third inning for the Pride (21-9) to take a lead against the Rebellion (11-22) but they wouldn’t surrender that advantage. Shelby Pendley brought in the game’s first run with an RBI single.

Meagan Wiggins went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs and Hallie Wilson and Shelby Pendleton each knocked in two.

That production would have been enough to secure victory for the league leaders, with the last-place Rebellion unable to put together much on offense. Doubles by Alisa Goler, in the fourth inning, and Kristyn Sandberg, in the seventh, were the only hits.

Rebellion starting pitcher Hayley Flynn gave up five earned runs and eight hits in 3 1/3 innings.
