Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang, who is shown hoisting the Stanley Cup in 2016, suffered a stroke two years earlier at the age of 26. Tests showed Letang had a very small hole in the wall of his heart since birth, which could have contributed to his stroke.

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Thousands of fans gathered in downtown Pittsburgh for the 2016 Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins victory parade.

It comes seven years to the day after a 2009 parade celebrating the team’s last Stanley Cup championship. The parade drew nearly 400,000 people.
