Rebellion shut out by Pride, 5-0

AUBURN, Ala. – Jolene Henderson pitched six scoreless innings and the USSSA Pride blanked the Pennsylvania Rebellion, 5-0, Saturday in a National Pro Fastpitch softball game.

Sierra Romero hit a home run for USSSA, which is in first place in the NPF standings. The Rebellion were held to five hits, including a double by Alisa Goler.

The Rebellion defeated USSSA, 6-2, Friday night in Starkville, Miss. Brittany Gomez had a run-scoring single in the Rebellion’s four-run second inning and hit a two-run homer in the fourth.

Winning pitcher Miranda Kramer pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run.

Kayla Winkfield and Goler each had two hits for the Rebellion.
