ALLENTOWN – Hallie Wilson drove in Kirsti Merritt with a single in the top of the eighth inning to give USSSA Pride a 4-3 victory over the Pennsylvania Rebellion in a National Pro Fastpitch league game at Coca-Cola Park.

The Pride fell to 7-13, 6 1/2 games behind the first-place Pride (10-3).

The Pride scored single runs in each of the first, second and third innings to take a 3-1 lead. But the Rebellion tied the game in the bottom of the third with the help of two errors by the Pride and an RBI groundout by Kristyn Sandberg. The Pride scored in the first inning on an error and single by Lexie Elkins.

It stayed that way until the eighth, when Merritt was hit by a pitch, sacrificed to second and scored on Wilson’s single.
