The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired a 2016 third-round draft pick (77th overall) in a trade Saturday with the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Beau Bennett.

Bennett has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He scored six goals and six had six assists this season, playing in only 33 games. He played in only one playoff game.

Bennett has played just 82 games in the past two seasons, and has 45 points in 129 career games.

With the No. 77 pick, Pittsburgh drafted defenseman Connor Hall of the Kitchener Rangers. Hall, a stay-at-home defenseman, had nine points in 49 games, but only turned 18 in late January.

Earlier in the day, the Penguins took Swedish goaltender Filip Gustavsson with their first pick (55th overall) in the second round. Six picks later, they selected Finnish right winger Kasper Bjorkqvist with the final selection in Round 2.
