Waynesburg University releases football schedule
Three home games in a four-week stretch and a season-ending game at John F. Wiley Stadium against rival Washington & Jefferson highlights Waynesburg University’s 2016 football schedule, which was released Thursday.
For the fifth consecutive year, Waynesburg will open its season against Muskingum in a non-conference game. The Yellow Jackets will host the Muskies Sept. 3.
Following a game Sept. 10 at Westminster that will not count in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference standings, Waynesburg will open league play Sept. 17 at Carnegie Mellon. Waynesburg will then play home games against Case Western Reserve (Sept. 24), Geneva (Oct. 8) and defending PAC champion Thomas More (Oct. 15). The lone road game in the four-week stretch is Oct. 1 at Grove City.
Waynesburg will play road games at Thiel (Oct. 29) and Saint Vincent (Nov. 5) before concluding the regular season at home Nov. 12 against W&J.
All home games will kick off at 1:30 p.m. The lone night game on the schedule is at Thiel (7 p.m.).
