Ben Laumann and Ben Kenning each homered as host Thomas More defeated Washington & Jefferson, 8-7, in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference tournament Saturday, forcing a decisive game for the title at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The top-seeded Saints (29-10) jumped out to a 5-1 lead through three innings, and went ahead 8-1 after the top of the sixth, before third-seeded W&J (26-16) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and three more in the eighth. Michael Ruffing hit a three-run homer, the first of his career, in the eighth.

Ruffing drove in four runs for the Presidents, who received 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief from Fort Cherry graduate Matt Heslin.

Ethan Kramer was the winning pitcher.
